Universal sell 'free songs'

In my opinion still cost to much ,but look like it would be the standart :$0.99 a song ,$9,99 an album.

Hmm. I think this is a step in the right direction. There doesn't appear to be any monthly fee like subscription services. That may be a moot point for those with access to broadband, but it's significant for those with slower connections.

I checked out the info on Universal's site, but it was a little vague on tech specifics. It did state that all files would be encoded at 128kbps in Liquid Audio AAC or WMA. It did not specify which version of WMA. Anyone have experience with Liquid Audio files, could you give us an opinion as to quality?

Something to watch out for: they mention that not all albums will be complete because of licensing issues with samples, etc.
