Trying to upgrade to 10.0.103 from 9.1.317
system not registered--30 days lefton trial period
I thought i was going to be directed to a purchase page [$9.98]

What did i do wrong

Do not use a download manager to download MC.

Deleted temp internet files

re installed[tried] 10.0.104 and install wizard froze half way thru set up
error message Media Jukebox caused an invalidfault in module Media Jukebox.exe
RE; dont use a download manager to install mc? Not sure what you mean,i just follow download instructions

You can uninstall the usual way (through control panel/add remove programs) .

Sorry, I didn't notice that Charlemagne8 had posted your system info.

You don't have a lot of memory free. You might try removing some of the other programs you have running. Try uninstalling anything you don't use.

It would help if you can give more details about what does work and when you get this error. At one time, you said that it failed during installation. Now you say it fails when you close MC. Does MC run?

Mc will open and run fine ,i can access music etc but when i try to but from help i get page cannot be displayed.

Have you tried updating Windows? Run IE and do tools/Windows updates.

When you say this

what do you mean? "but from help" isn't correct. Which "help" do you mean?

The problem may be something strange like a bad video driver.

It could also be a hardware problem (bad memory or disk).

That's not good. Take a more careful look. If it's really not there, the installation may not be complete.

To uninstall, try Start > Programs > JRiver Media Center > Uninstall Media Center. It SHOULD be in Control Panel > Add Remove Programs but if it's not, this may be an alternate way.

new problem
Clicked on mc on desk top icon that i have been using all along and got message--Failed to initialize reg contol
I tried to download ver 10.0.106 and program froze 90% of the way thru[installing media centerprogram files]
Then i tried to download from the custom set up and directed to another directory[media center 'a'] and it loaded 10.0.106 fine

tried to buy program from help menu from the program [10.0.106]and got -page cannot be displayed

I now have media center in add\remove program files
also i found old mc files in 'c' drive
Can i loose any of my saved music in mc if i start removing the old files ?
eg, 9.0.113,9.0.111 etc--should i save these to cd rom?

You've had enough problems that my guess is there is a problem with hardware. Memory could also be a source of the problems.

Check your disk space, too.

Uninstalling won't remove music.

Uninstalled mc 103 and installed 110 Still can.t buy from help in ver 110
Any other way to purchase[upgrade] or can i just restore to9.1. 317 and forget upgrade

at last upgrade worked BUT I still get media center has performed a illegal opperation and will be shut down when i close out of mc.
My computer tech still thinks it is a jriver problem and not my computer.?
