Storing cover art image files inside WMA files
« on: May 02, 2004, 03:31:04 am »

I'm trying to store cover art (image files) inside my WMA files. I've enabled the option 'Store Cover Art in Files (if possible)' from the Tools, Image menu. I'm using MC 10.0.127. All of my files are WMA v9.0.

It seems that if I use MC to rip the CD and it finds a cover art file, then it successfully stores the image file in the WMA file. I can verify this by adding the [Image File] column to my view in Media Library. In these cases, Media Library reports "Inside file" in the Image File column.

To attempt to store the image file into an existing WMA file, I choose Add from File, Get from Scanner or Get from Internet from the Tools, Image menu. Media Library reports "Folder.jpg" in the Image File column. Then I choose Tools, Library Tools, Update Tags (from library) expecting that the image file will get stored in the file. But instead Media Library still reports "Folder.jpg".

How do get MC to store the image file into an existing WMA file?

Thanks in advance.
