I lost all the nice pre-installed playlists
« on: June 25, 2004, 07:44:08 am »

Like the TODO ones for needing audio analysis.  Tried reinstalling, but didn't work.  Now all I have is "Recently Played" and "Top Hits."

I can remake my own, but I'm hoping I can get the old built-in collection, including the smartlists, which I gather are all in a file called playlistx.jmd (mine's now only 1KB).

Anybody know where a full version of this file is located, or how I can find one?  (Yup, shoulda made backups.)

Thanks,
Jeff Palley

This is by design.

However, when you add a smartlist, there's a list of presets.  It should only take a minute to add the ones you like back in.

Great ... it worked!  Maybe I actually did that myself originally, but it was so many versions ago that I could have forgotten.

RELATED QUESTION:  Is there a way to copy View Schemes from one machine to another?  I have things the way I want on my office machine, but when I try just to restore a Library Backup from my office machine to my home machine, that doesn't work (for views).  Maybe one of those other .jmd files?

Thanks Matt.

Glad it worked.

And view schemes are stored in the browser.jmd file in your library directory.  So replace the one at work from one at home, and it should work.  You just need to make sure you're running the same version of MC on both ends.

Thanks.
