Can Tags Be Read By Other Programs?

From what i understand its as follows:

Audio - tags work with other programs
Video - tags dont work with other programs
Image - tags dont work with other programs

can someone confirm/deny this

We try to tag in as standard of a way as possible.

For audio, this is pretty clean.

For video, WMV tags can be read anywhere.  Many other video formats don't have a tagging standard, so tags aren't stored.

Since there is no flexible JPEG tagging standard, MC writes its own XML based APPID block in the JPEG.  Other programs could easily support this if they wanted.
