MC 11: Remote Tagging Isues
« on: July 21, 2004, 12:55:49 pm »

Hello,
I am using the amazing media server feature from work and I am curious about renaming of audio files.
Here is what I was doing:
     1) Open media server over SSH tunnel from my home maching (Works Great)
     2) Change tags on a set of files
     3) Gracefully exit program
     4) Restart and reconnect to media server (If the server is not up it crashes here FYI)
     5) None of my changes are persisted.

I also noticed:
     1) If you update a tag in a lone MP3 in an artist folder the folder name is not updated.
     2) Some MP3 files appear to get lost.  The artist folder is still there but there are no files under it.
     3) If you select the root for the disk location view it appears to get confused and often does not show the subfolders in a folder.
     4) Opening the radio station "Radio Paradise" from the Web Media screen does not work.  From shoutcast.com I can open it and from a pls it can be opened.  The same is true for some other stations.

**Is there a help section on tagging mode and how it works?
**Is there a help section on what is supported in media server mode?  Is everything supported that it allows you to do?

Thanks!

Media Server is read only.  You can't use it to modify tags on the server.
