Select Files not analyzed for Replay Gain
« on: November 07, 2002, 08:22:24 am »

I would like to use Replay Gain, but the mp3's need to be analyzed first.
I would like to select the files (songs) the are not yet analyzed.
How can i do that ?

There is an auto smartlist for this in 9.  The criteria are:
mediatype=[audio] (replaygain==0 or peaklevel==0 or bpm==0 or intensity==0) not sure if this is relevant to v8 or not.  Hope this helps :)

Thanks Adam for your reply.
Must wait for 9.x
In 8.x this is not possible through a smartlist. Not enough selection criteria that can be used.

Maybe there is someone that has a suggestion for version 8.x

Thanks in advance ...  ;)

Just select all the files (both analyzed and unanalyzed) and when you get to the Replay Gain Analysis dialog, make sure that the Skip Analyzed Files box is checked.

Thanks,
I have done that. For all analyzed files i have added a note in one of the comments fields of the MP3tag info.

This makes it easier to select the fiels I need. Therefore i do need to select all files, currently 2500, which takes more time than my patience can handle.

Thanks,
