Sorry if this question has been asked before. I tried searching the forums, but could not find anything.

I am trying to move all my cover art from the default location, ...\Media Center\Data\Cover Art, to a folder inside my music folder, C:\Music. Is there a way to get MC to do this automatically and update all the file tags? I thought that it might be smart enough to do this when I changed the location path in the Options, under File Location, but nothing happens. None of the other options under library management seems to be what I am looking for either. Is there any way of doing this apart from removing cover art from all the files manually and then adding it back pointing to the new location?

The reason I am trying to do this is that I will be installing a new hard drive in my laptop, and I wanted to just do a clean install of MC and then point it to the Music folder to reimport everything in one shot. If cover art is there as well, and the image file tags are pointing to the correct location, this should bring in the cover art automatically. Is this correct? (i.e., is the path to cover art an actual tag contained in the file or just an MC database field?)

Just move the files and then select all your music and do a right click/images/quick find.  Make sure your cover art folder location is correctly set in options/file locations first.
