VBR Custom Encoding
« on: September 21, 2004, 09:30:22 pm »

Hi,

Using MC 11, latest version.

When I try to encode using MP3 VBR with the Custom setting, I only get a few choices:  Hi Quality, High Speed, Normal.  I used to get a blank field when using Custom which would allow me to use any of the LAME settings.

How come I can't do this anymore?

So you're saying you no longer have the little "Advanced" button?  MC 10 always had those same "quality" choices -- but it also had the "Advanced" button which brought up a window where you could type in your LAME settings (i.e. "--alt-preset standard" etc.)

It's there but shows same hard entries for Custom as selecting Low, High, etc. No way to enter user defined strings.

Margo...post the prob in the main V11 build thread if you haven't already.
