CPU maxed out
« on: September 29, 2004, 05:24:20 pm »

While ripping CD's to my hard drive, the CPU monitor in task manager shows it running at 100%.  I have an 800megahertz  pentium 3, with 256meg of ram.  Is this a normal situation?  If not can anyone offer suggestions for correcting this situation?

Are you doing a format conversion on the fly?  If so, 100% cpu utilisation seems reasonable.
