Hard disk filling up
« on: December 02, 2004, 05:51:56 pm »

I am running MJ 8 on Windows 98 se with a 1.4 Ghz AMD. My current base path is C:\Music\. My current 40 Gig drive C: is 92 % filled, so I need to begin copying files to D:\music. Should I wait until C is completely filled before changing the path? Other than changing the base path, do I need to make any other changes in order for MJ to play from my entire library (both C and D)? I have a single 80 Gig hard drive partitioned into C and D and am recording as ogg vorbis with have some 7500 files in my music library.) D is empty.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I currently have 3.66 Gigs unused on my 40 Gig C drive. Another question, please.

Would it make sense to move any of my music files to my empty D to open up more free space on C or even all of my music files from C to D?
My C drive is 84% music, 10% free, leaving 6% for the other programs, files, documents, etc.
I am backed up on an external 80 Gig drive (G).
