First I will apologize for taking up forum space with a Win 98 post but here I am and hoping someone might be willing to help.

I have used Media Center in the past on my XP machine and have loved the program.  I decided to purchase a copy today and try to set up a whole house media server based on Media Center. One of these computers unfortunately is still a 98 machine.

When I installed version 10 on my Win 98 se computer the MC window immediately hides in the tool bar.  I am unable to get it to show again until I right click on tool bar restore.  I am also unable to maximize the program at all, it stays the same size no matter where I pull or push From the program nothing happens when I select a menu item (file, edit...) I mean nothing.

So I am unable to do anything with options or settings.  Rest of window works fine and can play music etc.  Also I am unable to get to help to purchase a copy or if I was to purchase from another computer I would not be able to get in to enter key.

I have done as much searching on the forum and am just not seeing anything.  I installed Ver 11 side by side and same result.  I did a uninstall on both reinstalled Ver 11 alone and still the same.

Any thoughts suggestions greatly appreciated.

There is an option to start MC minimized.  Do you have that checked?

I am not able to get into program options to double check.  None of the the menu items will respond to a mouse or keyboard shortcuts.   If I hit the ALT key the first underlined character will appear but still nothing.  Really cannot figure this one out.
