MC Core crash on file delete
« on: January 15, 2005, 03:11:21 pm »

I am using v11.0.168 - MC Core crashes every time I delete a file from the library.  It doesn't seem to matter whether it's a delete, a delete to the recycle bin, or a permanent delete.

BTW - All of my audio files are stored on a network drive, mapped to a drive letter.

I am a gun-shy about upgrading to 177, since I haven't seen a release note entry saying it has been fixed (I may have missed it).

Has anyone else seen this problem?

What happens if the files are in a library stored on the local PC?

Are the files read only?

It's a smartlist issue - if I delete files from the Audio/Library view, no crash.  However, it reliably crashes when I delete items from a Smartlist view.

The same behavior occurs whether the deleted files were on a local or remote drive.

The files are not read-only.

Sean,
Don't do that.

Sean,

I have the same problem you've experienced.  Unfortunately, not deleting from the smartlist isn't really an option - it would take me a long time to set up a one-off search of browse a much larger listing to find what I'm looking for.
