Web Remote port error
« on: October 18, 2002, 03:22:02 pm »

I added the WebRemote plugin and it installs fine.

When I click on it it says "Failed to bind.  Please try a different port."    The title on the dialog box says "int_WebRemote."

Where do I change the port or tell it the port to use?

I'm trying to set this up so I can use NetRemote...

Thanks

It is probably defaulting to port 80 and you have something else running there -- a web server or sharing software.  Disable it long enough to get to web remote under plugins in the tree and change the socket there.

Hi mlsignups -
Also, make sure and download the version of int_WebRemote available from http://www.webwingnut.org/NetRemote/, as I've been so busy, I haven't been able to get the NetRemote version reintegrated into the main int_WebRemote code.

Jim is right though, you probably have something else running on that port. Once you change it, make sure and change the port in NetRemote.
