Audio is noisy
« on: May 26, 2005, 11:45:12 am »

For about the last 10 builds or so, when MC is started following a reboot, the audio is full of static.  After closing and immediately reopening MC, the static is gone.  This behavior is consistent.  My soundcard is the Audigy 2zs.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Have you updated your sound board driver

there was a problem once when updating a sound board driver that the Audio was Noisy. And the only thing that was found that created this was the user updated the sound board driver.

(it happen to me also)

when i re-installed the drivers that came with the computer all was well again.

I just updated the driver to the version released about 10 days ago and the same problem continues.  The strange thing is that when I shut down MC and immediately reopen it, the audio is fine.

Just installed 11.0.278, rebooted, opened MC and no static on playback!!  Don't know if something is different in this build or if the installation of the new build with the new Audigy 2zs driver already installed made the difference, but it's so nice not to have to close and reopen MC to get rid of the static.
