1. Fixed: Filename truncation and rename for long filenames with iPod.

Noticed you made a change to smooth scrolling.  I know that scrolling in the main viewing areaof the meida library still is really slow and jerky.  I get about 4-6 clicks in it where all other srolling I can get between like 20 -25 clicks.

I'm still using .225 because of iPOD support but I'm closely watching developments.  Am I right in thinking the only major biggie left to fix is to reintroduce 'skip conversions of same file type'?  There are so many iPOD improvements in recent builds but this is a major show stopper.  Any chance of an ETA on a fix?

When trying to fast forward in DVD playback I get a crash.  It is crashing in qdvd.dll / PlaybackEng.dll.

Just tried out the new debugging that was added and this looks to be where it occured:

Can't change chapters by hitting the next button (was working in v236)
Bookmarking of Audible files doesn't seem to occur.   Have never seen this working.  Works correctly for DVDs and I see this in the logs about every second or so when playing DVDs:

Is there a setting that prevents all tracks from being checked for rip when a new CD is inserted?  Alternately, a way to mass de-select the Rip column?

Frequently I rip a single track from a disc of 30+ smaller tracks and it's cumbersome to de-select each one.

Yes. About auto-sync, the problem of the number of plays increasing with each sync is still here, but only for files that have been played on the iPod (not in MC). For instance, if I play a file in MC and a file on the iPod, then do a few syncs (without ejecting the iPod), the playcount will be correct for the first file and wrong (too high) for the second one.

Wow. I wasn't expecting that one. I've just spent a few minutes playing with it (with a mini and a 40gb photo) and it seems to work great [edit: since yesterday I've tried this in many different situations (two iPods connected at the same time, one at a time, etc) and still didn't find a bug or provoked a crash]. This is not the most intuitive way to set-up the two players, but thank you, thank you, thank you.

Great job Steve. As for me, this is a great build.
This is going so fast now that I'm wondering.... are we getting full iPod photo support in 11?

iPod appears to be in good shape in the current build. Skip conversions should be back soon.

IOth,

iPod photo is coming, but first there is some reworking that needs to be done to be ready for it. This should result in Artist/Album support which many have requested.

I still have strange drag and drop behavior.
With 241 I had an minor indicator were my song would be dropped when dragging from one pane to the other or from a pane to the action window.
In version 243 this indication is gone!!

BUT: on my laptop this line is there for both versions!!!?
And I am sure that the the scrolling behaviour when dragging a song is different (BETTER) at my laptop. Here it scrolls up when I go to the top of the pane.
On my pc this does not work!!

Could not help reporting this again.

Would it help if I made some screenshots? Can I post them without to much trouble?

Try switching skins.  The line is more obvious with some skins than with others.
