Strange behaviour with DVD bookmarking
« on: April 25, 2005, 03:10:59 am »

When MC resumes DVD playback, it first plays back about 1 second from the very start of the dvd before it resumes from the last bookmark point. Unfortunatley this includes a sharp burst of audio as well.

Before any (re)work was done on bookmarking, this never used to happen though I'm unable to pin-point exactly when it started. Build 179 was fine for example, ie, DVD's would resume w/o first seeing/hearing anything from the start of the movie.

Hope it's something simple to fix.

Cheers.

This is a known issue to workaround a DirectShow (or filter) bug.  When loading a bookmark, doing it too early will cause failure, even though the functions say they're working.
