Roku and UPnP Server
« on: May 12, 2005, 02:20:13 pm »

Hi Y'all,

The Roku, in spite of my best efforts, is ignoring my shutdown notification. This means that  you may have to power cycle the Sound Bridge to get it to recognized the UPnP Server. I have a post on the Roku Forum, this has worked in the past, hopefully it'll help this time, but for now, I'm stuck.

About UPnP Server crashing after the Roku fails to load a long list - I can't reproduce this. I repeatedly tried to load a playlist that was too long, and kept coming up with the same "Failed to load" message, no crashes. If you could give me pointers on how to reproduce it, I'd appreciate it.

I just got the Soundbridge and have a few questions.

1) With Windows Media Connect I can press PLAY when at a Genre level, for example, and it plays all the songs in that Genre.  However, when browsing the MC library, PLAY has no effect and I seem to have to "drill down" to the song level before I am able to play songs (by pressing SELECT twice).  Would there be any way to get PLAY to work?

2) A general question about the server: is there any way to do volume leveling when serving/transcoding the WMA lossless files?

Thanks.

Play's on my list (MC12).

I don't think there's a way to do volume levelling yet...
