Problem with Visualisations after recent code change

I think there was a recent code change to refresh the vis engine when you do a Play (replace).  I believe it was so cover art gets refreshed.

Unfortunately this has an undesirable effect on G-Force because it reinitialises everytime you play a new selection.  This doesn't look good in a HTPC environment because G-Force is interuppted while the splash screen displays and it restarts itself.

Is there any chance this can be changed back or switched off where the current visualisation is G-Force?
