Handheld device support
« on: May 31, 2005, 08:40:16 am »

hi. my mate has Media Centre and I went round and tested my Gemini 220 works with it and it does.

it just comes up as a device and i can sync and everything.

Then I downloaded Media Jukebox but I can't get it to find the device at all. i've tried renaming it from Jukebox to Gemini, and tried refreshing but nothing.

Is this meant to work or is it only Media Center that has handheld device support?

It sounds like you'll need to use MC.  MC11 would be best.

A lot has changed with handhelds since MJ was released.

yeah but i was hoping for a free version. i suppose i'll have to go through the trial period and see if it's worth it.

if i buy the earlier version of MC now for 19.99 will i be able to update it later? or should i just buy the latest version?

Just use the trial of MC11 and upgrade when you think it's right.  The price is at $35 now and will go to $45 on release.  Release should happen by the end of this week and the price will change without warning.
