Theater view issue

I am trying to view theater view on my secondary display device (my TV) so I selected to view theater view on that device. All works fine untill I play a dvd through theater view. Even if I don't select full screen in theater view the dvd still displays in full screen on my primary display (pc)regardless. Does any one know how I can stop this, any help would be great. Thanks
