MP3 errors when ripping CDs ??
« on: September 30, 2002, 05:20:06 am »

I am new at ripping CD to MP3. I riped 3 CDs to MP3 at a sampling rate of 128bps. There was an old, not so old and a new cd. The new CD had no scrstches, the others were very minor. All three had what I would call stutters. Would a higher sampling rate cure this? I would like to make error free MP3s to record onto a cd for my truck audio system. Thanks to the folks that replyed to my last post I have made a data CD with the three albums on it. The errors show up on both mediajukebox or on the cd player. Would there be anything else that might cause these glitchs?  ?

Try selecting the "digital secure" mode in MJ's "devices settings". This mode reads everything on the CD at least twice to ensure error free ripping.
