MC11 Issues
« on: January 19, 2006, 06:21:47 am »

I've upgraded from 10 to 11, still in the trial period. I like the interface (although I don't think enough has changed to justify the price, or at least not offereing a discount for owners of 10). Anyway, two problems have cropped up:

1. When burning Audio (wav) CDs, the first couple of seconds of each track are chopped off.

2. I've had problems transferring to my portable device. I set it to convert to "Normal" MP3 if required (I assume this is 128); all tracks that were converted won't play, tracks that weren't converted do play.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The upgrade is cheaper: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=23311.0

This is not a common problem. Since Media Center 11.1 is almost ready (MC 11.0 is not going to change) please install the latest MC 11.1 build first. Currently it is MC 11.1.101, which is available here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=31368.0

If the problem does not go away, report it at the Media Center forum. (This forum is for the older Media Jukebox.) You may want to use a rewritable CD-RW disc for testing.

I am not sure what is the default setting, but the MP3 conversion has selectable quality options.

MC 11.1 has many improvements in this area. Please try it first. If the problem still exists post a detailed report in the Portable Digital Players forum: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=8.0.
