Ripping 2 CDs together, but not concurrently
« on: January 17, 2006, 02:34:33 pm »

Hi,
I just ripped my first CDs after installing 11.1 and experienced a different behaviour than with 11.0.

I have 2 CD drives for ripping and my workflow is:

1.- Insert the two Cds.
2.- Click on the first drive, let it lookup info from yadb, modify some tags (normally missing date) and name convention setting, if needed.
3.- Click on the second drive and repeat the same procedure as of item 2.-

Now, I'm ready to rip.

In 11.0, clicking on "rip" started a ripping session of both drives, queueing both CDs. However, with 11.1 clicking on "rip" starts only the first one and I do not see any setting to queue the second one, so, when the first one finishes the ripping process I have to manually start the second.

Am I missing something? I haven't changed any setting for ripping in Tools -> Options when upgrading from 11.0 to 11.1.

So, to summarize, the question is: How do I queue both CDs to rip one after the other?? Note that I'm not talking about the auto-rip feature nor I want both Cds to rip simultaneously, but just one after the other without any intervention from my side. I could do that with 11.0 (I think as a default) but cannot find how to do it with 11.1.

Thanks for your time.

Finally found a way to do it:

Click on the root of "Drives & Devices" and the complete list of both drives will show up. There's no "Rip CD" button here, but you can click on "rip CD" in the action window and you're ready to go.
