How do I set the zone playback with mjextman.exe
« on: January 03, 2006, 12:05:56 am »

Hi,

I'm currently using MC 10 with Cinemar MusicLobby.  I just found out there's a command based to control MC.  In particular, I'm in need to set the zone playback through a command line but I can't figure it out what the correct syntax would be?

I got some information from here:

http://www.jrmediacenter.com/DevZone/CommandLine.html

I tried:

mjextman.exe /MCC MCC_SET_ZONE=1

But it doesn't work.  I'm not a programmer, just an user to try to get the playback to work smoother with the home automation software I  use.

Appreciate your help,

Simon

You need to substitute the correct number for the variable.  So you count down from MCC_PLAY_PAUSE and it is 11 so you substitute 10011 for MCC_SET_ZONE and add the 0-based zone number.  So, these become:

/MCC 10011,0
/MCC 10011,1
etc...

Simon you are a few step ahead of me & my HS/ML setup. My ML trial expired. Not planning in implimenting unti HS2.0 is up and stable. Are you setting MC zones through ML or HS? I am hoping to set the zones through HS. I am using Launch App with a parameter, but HS will not pass a parameter with a "," from what I can tell.  Any Suggestions?
