iPod not Recognized and Cannot Synch
« on: February 10, 2006, 06:38:52 pm »

Two problems:

MC will not allow synching: iPod Mini 4 gig -- empty. I am trying to get 3.1 gig of music but I continue to receive "over capcity messages."

I then reinstalled MC and now it will not recognize the iPod.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Try MC Options/Handhelds/Device Management/Redetect Devices.

If that doesn't work, try Apple's site on problems.  They suggest a reset, then running their updater.

Thanks, Jim.

This worked like a charm. The only thing I can't figure out (but it really doesn't matter, I guess): why the need for a reset and new updater?

Thanks again.
