Is Volume Equalization Possible?
« on: February 21, 2006, 02:14:52 pm »

I have an older version of MC (10.0.161) and have not kept up with the development of MC for quite a while.  Does the current version have the capability of equalizing the volume output when MC is used to play back the music?  If not, is there another way to accomplish this?

I know there are applications available that will normalize/equalize the volume by making a permanent change to each and every mp3 file, but I am not too eager to make such a permanent change to my files and was hoping there was something else available now.

32-bit Replay Gain is built into MC 11 and 11.1.  This is the best solution available.

Even MC10 has Replay Gain, but you do have to analyze your files. The associated volume adjustments (Replay Gain) are then stored in the MC database and your files remain unchanged.
