Please make MC to display the changes it's about to make to file tags ( [rating] and [number plays] in particular) on portable player at connect.
The way MC decides which file to change (on the player vs. on the hard drive) is
so unpredictable sometimes hard to predict, and there is no way to undo changes made on portable player. This got me frustrated not once, but I just had a "last drop." For a week I did not connect my iPod to PC, but kept listening to a smartlist "Imported last month, not rated." I was rating songs all along the way - 176 of them. Just connected iPod and. . . without a single click all ratings were wiped out.
I am almost 100% sure that [Number Plays] sometimes messed up by MC as well since I have files with non-realistic values in that field.
I was very pleased to see "Delete on synch" etc. messages in the "Status" column of synchronization window added couple of builds earlier , thank you very much. But to me, as to a real MC fan, for every introduced feature there are couple more missing
The way I see this implemented is something like "Windows Briefcase" type of thing, if you ever used it and remember.
