How do I change 'image file' path?
« on: March 09, 2006, 03:41:25 pm »

From within MC11.1.141's navigation tree (Drives & Devices) I moved my "Cover Art" folder with 2,100 jpegs, from its default location (C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 11\Data\Cover Art) to (C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Pictures\Cover Art ).

I remember that in earlier versions of MC, moving files and folders from within MC's navigation tree, automatically caused MC to make all the necessary adjustments to the MC database file paths. However, now that I have moved the cover art folder, I no longer see the cover art displayed when a track plays.

The "Image File" field shows that all the cover art files are still pointing to the old location. In "Options" I have also changed the "Track Images Path" to the new location, but this doesn't correct things.  "Find and Replace" doesn't work for "Image File" paths either.

So how do I get all the cover art files to point to the new location?

If you've changed the location in MC's File Locations (under options), try selecting a few and doing a right click, then Image/Quick find.

Thanks Jim, that worked. It took a few minutes but 24,000+ tracks were updated with the new image file paths.
