Burning Audible files to CD.
« on: March 10, 2006, 05:30:17 am »

Are there any plans to give MC the ability to burn Audible files to CD at some point?  This is one of the few things that "Audible Manager" can do that MC apparently cannot at this time.

Thanks,

Larry

I've discovered that while MC apparently CAN burn Audible files to CD, it doesn't work correctly.  I just tried it, and the audio on the CD started somewhere in the middle of the Audible track.  At the end of the track, there was a bunch of extra silence.  The start point on the CD did not line up with the "bookmark" in MC.

Are there any plans for MC to have more "predictable" support for this in the future, or will we need to keep Audible Manager for this sort of thing?  (AM allows not just burning of AA files to CD audio, it also allows you do set the beginning/ending points for tracks that won't fit on a single CD.)

Thanks,

Larry,
There is no formal support for burning aa files right now. We are talking to Audible, and full support for burning may be on the cards. It depends how the talks go. We'll keep you posted. We would like to be in a position to offer a complete alternative to Audible Manager. Feel free to let Audible know if you support that proposal.
