Absolutely fab - thank you!

Been wanting something like this for ages. Only have a 16x2 display, but that's just enough to now show Playing/Stopped time/length on the top bar and artist - trackname scrolling on the bottom.

My only quibble is that it seems to hold MC open. So I close MC, but it is still shown in the processes under Task Manager. If i kill it from there the whole program gets restarted!
Not a major issue, but one to note.

Thanks again, you've made my day ;-)

Glad it works for you.  I too only have a 16x2 VFD display.  Yes that bug is a bit annoying,  I've tried to fix it, but it is actually required as a work around to another bug that i think is with the jrmc automation object.  Hope its not a show stopper for you.

thx

Not a showstopper for sure - have you reported the MC bug on these forums?

You know how the Winamp bit can display playing information if it is playing, but other stuff otherwise? Is there any scope for doing that with MC do you think?

You can do that.  Use the Actions screen in smartie to enable or disable certain screens depending on whether jrmc is currently playing anything.  use function 2 something like

$dll(JRMC_Now.dll,2,status,false) > 0 enable screen(2) 'this will enable screen 2 when jrmc is in anything other than stopped mode.
you may need to disable other screens, and do the reverse for other things. depends on what other stuff you want to look at in smartie.

I don't have smartie to hand at the moment.

thx

When I fire up LCDSmartie with a screen attempting to show info from your plugin, I get the following error:

Load of Plugin failed:  Loadlibrary failed with #126: The specified module could not be found.

Is there something I need to do to register the plugin with MC?

Thanks RedDom!

Everything works great, but i have a little problem. I use multizone function of MC. I like to see the zone information on LCD. Can you tell me, how can write "zone name"?
I tried $dll(JRMC_Now.dll,1,zone ,true), but not worked.

Thanx
