I am using MC11.1 to subscribe to some podcasts (great addition to MC BTW!) and one of them is using what the author claims to be the "enhanced" podcast format.  It is supposed to include images at various points in the audio playback.  MC11.1 does not seem to work with this format and I really do not want to reinstall iTunes if I don't need to.  Is there any possibility that this format is supported, or that it will be in the near future?

yes, the enhanced podcast format would be a really good thing! So I could see the covers of the podcast rss (and not only the empedded in the mp3) and so on

It must be technicaly very simple to recognice the itunes enhanced format - this are only some tags more in the same rss file - please integreate this! :-)

Just a word of warning. Ive heard these advanced podcasts play havok with ipods. I used one on mine and if you pause playback and leave it so it turns itself on, you wont get it back until you do a hard reset.

I don't think this is a Podcast issue, it is a "what kind of files can you play and how well can you play them" issue.

I tried playing the 6 files in this podcast (after downloading them).  The first 3 are .m4a (audio) files and the last 3 are .m4v (video) files.

Quicktime:  Plays first 4, won't play or crashes on the last 2.
iTunes: Plays all 6
Nero 7: Plays all 6, but no pictures on the audio files.

Media Center: We use the Quicktime codecs, so we play the first 4, and hang temporarily while Qucktime blows chow on the last 2.

You would think Apple would play the same files in Quicktime and iTunes, but they appear to be very different players.
