I have bought a remote control from trust (Multimedia Remote Control NB-5100p). I can't get it to work with media center. Can somebody help me, please.

It looks to me like you will need to create a custom configuration for your remote in the Trust remote software.  From the manual to your remote:

1) Browse to the desired application.
2) Open, example: ‘Notepad’

2) Use quick buttons from application (see user manual from application)
For example, time/date stamp in Notepad: Press F5 key in hotkey field
3) Type OSD description: Time/Date stamp
4) Save
5) OK

You'd want to do that, but using MC's keypresses as the hotkeys.  If that remote works with Girder, you could also go that route.

That's a strange remote (and the manual looks terrible).  What made you buy that one?

If it works with MC then it's a great remote (for me)! I have MC on my laptop for traveling and that remote looks like it could be the perfect traveling companion. It stores in the pc card slot on the laptop! very cool.

Masse, please let us know if you're able to get that remote to work well with MC. If it does I'll definitely be buying one!

If that's an IR remote you should be able to get it to work by simply going to Tools>Options>Remote Control and assign all the buttons and functions there.

I couldn't get it to work, so I threw it away. I tried another remote i had at home, which worked perfectly. It's an old thing that i connected to the computer through the com port.

Wow, sorry to hear that Masse. So much for what would have been the perfect portable remote.
