I had the handheld screen showing the files that were on my smartphone and the ones that were in the queue. Being the first time I tried using the sync feature, I mistakenly thought the list was like a playlist where I could delete files from the list and it wouldn't affect the files on the phone. So I selected the ones I didn't want to copy over because they were already on the phone and hit Delete. I realized my mistake when the deleting files message came up, but then it stayed up for a very long time. I tried cancelling to no avail but didn't worry because I could just copy them back.

I had about 300 files on the phone and it took a very long time to finally finish the delete operation. I'm not sure why it takes so long because I could have gone to the ActiveSync Explore and deleted the files in a lot faster time if needed.

Is it doing something else besides Deleting that takes so long?
