Not currently, but many of us would like to get support for it (and hopefully eventually something will happen).  JRiver has indicated "maybe eventually, but it's not being developed now" in the past on the issue.

If they do port this to other OS's, just imagine how much less time would be spent on the current product!  not good

Not necessarily true. If they had a big enough client base for another OS, they could hire a stand alone developer who's job it was purely to create the port.

AFAIK Linux runs C programs and so if it's coded in C, it would be theoretically possible to port it (I THINK!!!) although I have absolutely zero idea how many windows functions it uses so could be completely miles off with this and also have no idea how muchwork it would entain!
