Detached Display and Controls

Easy question:  are they not available or am I just missing them?

When I detach the display (and keep it on top so I can "multitask" while watching or listening to something, how do I get the play controls?  If the detached display has focus, I can use shortkeys...  otherwise, I don't find any way.

You could use "Display View" (in windowed) mode if you want controls.  Otherwise, even when detached, you can still use MC to control. (right-click tray icon, keyboard media keys, actual UI, etc.)
