Disk Writer Setting Doesn't Appear To Be Working???
« on: August 29, 2002, 03:36:18 pm »

Greetings - I have a couple of .lqt files & I wanted to convert them to .wav so that I could burn them. I posted a help post & received the following reply which I tried but sadly to no avail.  No files ended up appeared in the DISK WRITER folder & so all I can assume is that the whole thing just didn't work.  I followed the directions below ... Is there perhaps something I must've missed?

Kindest regards - Rusty.

Go to Options, then Playback. In the Output section, click on the Mode drop down list and choose Disk Writer instead of Wave Out (default). Now when you playback the .lqt files, they will be saved as wav files on your hard drive.

Check where you have MJ set to save the file.

Check where you have MJ set to save the file.

Also to burn these files you have to import them from the folder where they were saved. Look under unassigned in the library.

Add them to a playlist because they probably will not be in the same order as the originals. (create one just for this-say diskwriter or something)

In the playlist where they are now, you can put them in any order you want.

Next right clck on the playlist and send to device > burner.

Insert blank and burn.

Greetings - I tried all suggestions but to no avail.  It appears that .lqt files are definitely listen to only files & can't be messed with via MJ or anything else - pity about that.  Disc Writer doesn't work with them nor does MachineHeads suggestion, the burn as Audio window pops up then ... NOTHING happens anymore.

P.S - When using disc writer the files were set to be saved in C:/Music/Disc Writer

Thanks for your efforts - Rusty.
