Can I edit my Database remotely?
« on: February 25, 2007, 10:29:19 am »

Hi All!

Haven't posted in a long time... Anyways here goes...

Two questions:
1 - Is there a way to edit the database (i.e edit my MP3 tags and playlists, etc.) while connected from a remote client via the library server?

2 - If the first part is possible, is there a way to have one user with edit rights and others have other people in my home connect with read only rights?

Any help is much appreciated!!

No, changes made on the client (except for playcounts and last played) are not saved on the server.

I forgot: one alternative is to share the library via windows file sharing. The first client gets read/write access, all other clients get read access.
