Looking for the latest version of MC11, the download page

told me to go to this page:
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=10029.0

and on this page I was given this link:
MC11.1.201 is here:  ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/old/MediaCenter111201.exe

to download the latest version of MC11


I just downloaded the file 'MediaCenter111201.exe' - size 14,665,192
When the download completed I hit the launch button.
 
When the install was complete it said some file were not loaded but would be completed on a reboot....
so I rebooted the machine..

I now have an MC12 icon on my desktop.

When I start what is suppose to be MediaCenter11.1.201,
I get the program   MediaCenter 12.0.154.

Any thoughts, other than reinstall an older version of MC11?

That link gives me the right file.   13767 KB.

Try again.  It could be your browser getting an old one from cache.

Please archive the file.  We're not always going to provide old versions in the future.

I downloaded the file from the same link again and got a DIFFERENT file !!!
This time it is MC11.1.201

The first file was  MediaCenter111201.exe size 14,665,192 01/25/2007 11:29:29
This file loaded and executed as MC12

The second file is MediaCenter111201.exe size 14,096,408 01/25/2007 13:15:17
This file installed as MC11

Would you like a copy of the incorrect file?

I just went to the DOWNLOAD Page and downloaded MC12 to check the size.
The file downloaded from the download page is the same size ( 14,665,192 )  as the file I downloaded from the MC11 link as 11.1.201.

Whatever happened it works now....  maybe someone was working with the database at the time... who knows.....

Just thought you might like to know.......

You can uninstall MC12 and resintall MC11.1 now.

Just thought you might like to know, EVERYtime I install using the first download file which SAYS it is MC11, I get 12 loaded,
I have tried this several times now with the same results.  I downloaded the MC11 file from a different download location and that file installs as MC11. BOTH files are named the SAME.  I have reloaded MC11 and all is working ok.  Just thought you would like to know......  Anne

The only place MC11 is available now is through the FAQ on the MC12 board.  Old links to MC11 all go to MC12.

Just used the Check for updates from the Help menu in MC.

Ah, sorry. I should have mentioned that I didn't download from a link, just updated from within MC. Sorry for the confusion.

      WHY would you install a copy of MC12 when a "Check for UPDATES" to MC11 is clicked ?

      I didn't ask to UPGRADE to MC12, only check for any UPDATES to MC11

 and trashing my copy of MC11 was NOT expected when clicking on "Check for Updates"  for MC11..

Now my copy of MC11 does come up, but now it takes executing it twice... yes twice..

The first time it comes up and then is gone without me doing anything...
The second time it comes up and stays up,   AND,

after doing my "UPDATE to MC11 ,, ALL of my files display the not available icon!!!
 and
MC11 now will NOT connect to the internet and a bunch of other things now dont work.

Very Upset Lady !!
