What if when library server was called to from a web browser:
http://mydomain.com:port, a web interface would come up (only if username & password are required) and then users could stream audio and pictures (perhaps video but forget it until upstream gets a little better). Either this or portable Media Center so people can listen to their collections on any computer easily.
