Is it possible to support the Archos Jukebox Multimedia ?
(It's the newest device from Archos with Video, Pictures etc.)

Until now, it's not recognized in the Devices.
(In explorer it's a Harddrive)

bennyd,

Can you check what the volume label name is for this Archos? Try right clicking on it under "My Computer" and checking this name. After you have done this, go to the Plug-in manager and click on the "Portable Drives" Plug-in. Click on "Configure" and enter the correct volume label and see if MJ detects the Archos.

BENNYD,
How do you like the new Archos?  I looked at the pre-sale info a few months ago.  Is the screen easy to read in car light?  Does it display the ID3 tags or better yet the imbedded Cover Art in a mp3?

I had a 20GB RioRiot but the screen was imposible to read in the car at certain times.  The other thing I hated was that you had to hit a button to display the complete ID3 info.  The battery was not replacable and  the manual said not to keep a charger plugged in.  So a 12V DC car charger was out of the question.

Very interested in hearing your feedback.

Hi David,

The new Archos is a nice gadget.
I plays MP3, WMF, DIVX movies, JPG files (with slideshow).
It has a smart card & Compact flash card reader, video out, etc.

The screen has a black background with bright yellow font.
Easy to read but because it's a small device, it's a small display.
When playing movies, I can just read the subtitles, so just big enough.

When playing MP3, it shows the ID3 tags (but no ID3 image).
It displays Artist, Songname, Album.

Because of the video output, the MP3 information can also be displayed on your TV.
Slideshows from Jpegs can be created with MP3's in the background.

It has a lot of plugins like Digital camera, Stereo microphone for live recording, etc.
When connecting to PC, it's a normal harddrive where you can put whatever file on it for transfer.

Overall it's a nice gadget to have.

I hope this is the information you requested.

Cheers,

Benny
