looping audio
« on: August 25, 2002, 12:49:52 pm »

At random (seems random to me....) times, the audio playback from MJ goes  into a fast repeating loop for a few seconds and then resumes normal playback.  This might happen a few times a day.  I don't like to say the word "bug" but this sure feels like something weird in MJ, and is really unacceptable for playback.

Any ideas?  Anyone else experience this?  Any forthcoming fix?

Talking to myself....

If nobody else has this audio looping problem with MJ, can anyone suggest what may be wrong with my system?  It's either MJ or my system.

Sound card driver?

Windows Update?  IE/Tools/Windows Update.

Setting for playback -- wav out or direct sound?

My windows is up to date.  I'm running a Audiophile 2496 sound card with a digital connection from the card to my audio system.  How could the sound card cause looping?  Wouldn't it have to be the playback software?
