Would a function Search()/Find() be possible

Hi!

It would be awesome if you could add a function for obtaining the index of substring. Like the Search(substring,string,[starting from]) function used in excel.

Also, with the possibility to use negative starting from, so it searches backwards it would really make my day.

Any chances for this? It would help solving these issues as well:)

Is it out of the question, hard to implement or maybe you don't understand what i am talking about?
