I've recently upgraded to MC12 and the cover art that resides in each album's folder does not display. On most albums a smaller version is displayed. On some, no cover art at all.

What I had to do was right click on each album, choose "cover art", "add from file" then go to the bmp or jpg that is in that file and select "yes". This took me about 4 hours.

I'm currently upgrading another computer and do not want to go through this again.

Is there a way that MC12 will automatically use the .bmp or .jpg that is in each album's folder?

I tried going to "file location", "cover art" and selecting "same folder as file" then re-imported - but that did not work.

There has to be an easier way.

Assuming that the [image file] field for the files is empty, you could try the following...

List all files
Open the Tag window
Click on the little thumbnail image at the top of the tag window
Right click on the 'Image' window you now see and choose "Quick find in file / cover art directory"
MC should then get busy fixing up all your album art.
