Library updating
« on: August 21, 2002, 12:00:05 pm »

I must be missing something. How do I get my library to update when I've added new files to the folder?
I tried the move/copy option with four files, it moved the first but just didn't want to know about the other three. Even then, the library wasn't updated with the track that did move.
I've tried that update library screen thing but can only get it to remove tracks, not include them.
I tried the import option but that only lets me search a whole folder.
I tried selecting the three files in the open media screen but it just started playing the first track.
Surely I don't have to rescan a whole folder each time I add a new track? What setting am I missing?

Cheers.

Import is what you want.  Try it.  It's fast.

I have had the same problem.  I have posted 2 help messages but had no reply to either.  I am unable to import/update my library with a big truckload of files.  Also, when I tried the update library after downloading the update for MJ8  I lost about 600 files.  Songs that had been in my library prior to the update patch were removed.  Re-importing does not put them back.  I hope you get better help :)
