VCAST Sync Probs

I love MC and hate the suggested Windows Media Player that my phone wants me to use.  When connecting using MC, my phone shows up under handheld devices.  Excellent, until MC shuts my phone off and loses the device.  One problem I notice right away is that MC labels my phone- LG 9900.  It is actually the LG 8700.  I never have enough time to change/remove or do anything with the device before it is shut off and disappears from MC.  Any suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

What version of MC are you using?  Recent versions have some updates for phones.

I have the lg 9900 and mc shows it as a lg chocolate shortly before locking the phone and shutting it down
