"Downloads" Tree Item
« on: August 16, 2007, 12:51:14 pm »

I've looked around on the forums and haven't found where it came from. What's this tree item for? I take it anything downloaded via MC appears in there, i.e. Podcasts, Audible Store, Audio Lunchbox and CD Baby... is that it?

i actualy did the same some days ago, and i looked if there was an option to get it out of sight, since it will be empty for the rest of its days, sitting in the tree. would be nice if it would work like documents worked, just there when there is something to show.

Please add the ability to disable it!  I like the tree as simplified as possible.

But please explain exactly what it's for.  I bet it's for some new features to come.  Is J River starting jTunes Music Store?  What if they had a music store just like iTunes except you would download FLAC or APE.  LOL.  Now that may be appealing!

I still would like to request the ability to have playlists expanded when opening MC up if it was expanded when closed!  I'll create a thread for this.

In a future version at least downloaded podcasts appear in there.

I disable podcasts so I don't need it.

I use Juice on my server to download them to a folder.  I then just usually use VLC.  At one point MC auto imported them but I don't like them cluttering up my collection of good content.

Ok, I think the term is "a work in progress". Fair enough, thought I'd missed something.
