I have to rip about 200 cd's. What is the advantage/disadvantage to ripping and encoding at the same time vs. ripping then encoding? I plan on doing everything at 160kps. Thanks...

You have room at the begining of your MassRip
In this case,rip first to APE,very fast and lossles.At night or when away,convert the APE to mp3.Convert to mp3 takes more time
SET ORIGINAL FILES{THE APE}TO BE DELETED WHEN CONVERSION FINISH.
At the end you may have not that much room left and in this case you may have to ripe and encode at the same time
