Possible to set custom rating with keyboard or similar?
« on: September 23, 2007, 12:41:08 pm »

I'm wondering if there is any way to set a custom field of integer 1 to 6 directly with the keyboard.
It's for rating purose. Today I have to slowly double click, and then use the mouse wheel to set a number.

Are there any way's to do this faster?

I know I could probably set my remote up with girder, and make it possible, but I have never used it before and are a little low on time right now. Girder will be a thing in the nearest future though...
I have a RF remote. That might make it harder to work with girder too?

Anyway. I'm open to suggestions.

You can define your own shortcuts:

However, there's no command for setting a tag value, so this one is tricky.

Yea. I've seen that before.

I just found a way my self actually! I have a 6 number rating system. I'll just use the normal star ratings, and leave the lowest scores. I'll set them as 1 in my custom rating after I have tagged all others with stars. The rest is easy to copy, by sorting on star ratings and setting my integer values.

I'm so smart  :P
