Theatre View - Drive Letter without Drive Name
« on: November 14, 2007, 09:23:45 pm »

I have mapped a few drives and it works fine but the issue is that it only shows the drive letter and not the name I have assigned it.  I am in theatre view (with disk location view selected).  If I import my picture from my c drive it says my pictures but not if it is a mapped drive.  Issue is my wife will have no idea where pictures, video etc is.

Any work around?

Check that....it appears no drive letter had a name even my documents file folders.  So, is there anyway to show the name as well as the drive letter in theatre view?

Any reason you couldn't set up View Schemes rather than using disk location?

Well the only real choices are by calendar, file type, or genre and none of those really do anything for me.  A lot of my vids are in .vob format so the only indicator of what movie it is, is by folder name.  Mose other MC's have drive name...odd.

You can create a view scheme using whatever criteria you want. Right click on Videos and choose "Add View Scheme" and then customize it to your heart's content.

See this page for some basics on them.

Unless I'm completely misunderstanding your question...
